For outdoor paving, proper foundation and layer structure play a key role. If the foundation is not perfect, paving stones may sink over time, become uneven, or rise during winter frost. In every case, I adapt the sub-base construction to the specific conditions of the site, ensuring that the finished pavement remains stable and neat for years to come.

For indoor tiling (e.g. wall tiles, floor tiles, gres/porcelain tiles), precise levelling and waterproofing are essential.
In bathrooms or kitchens, flawless execution is not only more attractive but also protects the walls from moisture and mold. A common mistake is that some contractors rush the preparation work – I believe that quality craftsmanship lies in the details.

For warm flooring (e.g. laminate, vinyl, parquet), maintaining a perfectly level surface and proper subfloor preparation are crucial.
If the foundation is not perfect, the flooring may become uneven, creak, or disintegrate– that’s why I carefully measure, level, and fit every installation.

The result: an even, stable, and aesthetically pleasing floor surface that withstands ageing.

I like demonstrating how I work in practice. Every project is different, but they all share one thing: precision, professionalism, and clean, well-thought workmanship.

In the bathroom of a family home, the old tiling had come off in several places, and walls were damp. After the removal, I applied complete waterproofing and, using precise levelling, laid the new tiles and flooring. After grouting and sealing the tiling with silicone, the room not only looked better, but also became completely waterproof and easy to keep clean.

The previous pavement in a garden had subsided and become uneven. I removed the entire paving and then created a new subbase with the correct layer structure, including compaction and edging. The new paving is stable, even and aesthetically pleasing – ensuring safe passage in both rain and frost.

How long does it take to install cladding or paving?

The exact time required depends on the size and condition of the surface.
Tiling a smaller room typically takes 1 to 2 days, while tiling an entire bathroom or a larger area can take several days.
Before I start working, I always provide a pre-agreed schedule, so you will know exactly when the work will be completed.

Does the subfloor need to be prepared, or can it be covered directly?

Thorough preparation is essential for a long-lasting result.
If the substrate is uneven or unsuitable, the tiling may rise, crack or sink over time.
I always assess the substrate and only lay the tiling if it has been professionally prepared.

Is it possible to work with pre-cut paving slabs or paving stones?

Yes, of course.
I would be happy to work with the cladding you have purchased, and I can also help ensure that it is suitable for the intended application.
If you are unsure about which cladding to choose, I can provide advice to ensure that it is not only attractive but also suitable in long term.
